[SPOTTED] Lamborghini Urus goes Hybrid (2025)

Hey Lamborghini enthusiasts! Something epic just got spotted out on the roads, we got 2 words for you “SUV” and “facelift”, bringing some changes that will sure divide the community!

Exterior design:

Let’s start with the exterior styling. The updated Urus is still unmistakably a Lamborghini Urus, & these are the changes:

– With the headlights, Lamborghini is adopting the popular “Daytime running light around the headlights” trend everyone leaned towards the couple few years, while some might like it very much, we can bet many Urus lovers will ask for a pre-facelift headlights retrofit.

– The front bumper is now featuring a few thicker elements that change the look of that bumper quite a lot.

– The rear side fender vents have been flipped 180°, aligning with the wheel arch design instead of with tail lights as it was in the past.

Now, since this is not an official “reveal” by lamborghini, but just a normal car spotting moment outside the testing grounds, we can’t see everything clearly just yet, but there are hints that Lamborghini has something special up its sleeve for the back too. The liftgate for instance does look proportionally different? We’re not sure but can’t help but notice something different about that side of the car! Expect some updated taillights as well as they are half covered. Keep in mind these are speculations from a car spotting occurance & nothing more, we’ll still have to wait for the full reveal.

Interior design:

Inside the cabin, Lamborghini definitely changed quite a few things & this is in our opinion the area that will divide the Urus gang in 2. The dashboard has welcomed fresh look, it seems like a larger infotainment system is joining the party. Lamborghini has moved the gear & drive modes lever a bit to the back to leave space for the revised 2nd infotainment screen which is in our opinion highly inspired by the Porsche Taycan one. Thankfully tho Lamborghini kept the cool plane inspired buttons in between the 2 screens but this time they protrude, which I honestly like more than the previous ones.

Now to the real game-changer this Urus is all about, & it is under the hood. Lamborghini is keeping some secrets, but here’s the scoop we all know & are hyped for: the Urus is going semi-green with an all-new plug-in hybrid powertrain. CEO Stephan Winkelmann has hinted at a hybrid version hitting the roads next year, and it’s going to be a beast! Think Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, and you’ll get the idea.

While we don’t have all the juicy details about its performance, we’re expecting a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine combined with an electric motor and a hefty 17.9 kWh battery pack. What does that mean for the power? Brace yourself – we could be looking at over 690 horsepower! Making the ride in the new Urus even more thrilling!

So, there you have it – the Lamborghini Urus is getting a fresh makeover and a green twist. We can’t wait to see this beauty hit the streets and leave everyone in awe of its power and style. Stay tuned for more updates, and until then, keep your engines roaring!
