Lamborghini changes badging after 20 years!

Lamborghini has made a bold move by refreshing its iconic, universally loved car badge after more than two decades. This decision comes as the company seeks to realign its visual identity with its core values and future aspirations.

Reflecting Lamborghini’s Bold Vision

The new logo is more than just a cosmetic change; it’s a statement of Lamborghini’s commitment to being brave, unexpected, and authentic. By updating their emblem, Lamborghini aims to better reflect the essence of their mission and the values they stand for, & the turn to the future of mobility they are preparing to embark on.

Introducing a Bespoke Font

In addition to the revamped logo, Lamborghini has introduced a bespoke font that complements the sleek and angular design language of their cars. This font not only enhances brand consistency but also reinforces the unmistakable identity of Lamborghini in every aspect of their communication.

A Subtle Yet Significant Transformation

While the new logo maintains the essence of its predecessor, subtle changes make a significant impact. The transition from bright gold to a subtler bronze for the detailing, along with a broader typeface for the Lamborghini name, symbolizes the evolution of the brand while preserving its clear identity.

The Arrival of the New Badge

The first vehicle to proudly bear the refreshed badge will of course be the plug-in hybrid version of the Urus SUV, slated for release in the coming months. Following suit will be the successor to the Hurácan, promising enthusiasts a glimpse into Lamborghini’s future direction through its design language.

Embracing Digital Expression

A notable departure from tradition is the presentation of the bull emblem individually, without its shield-shaped background or the Lamborghini name, across the company’s digital platforms. This shift emphasizes Lamborghini’s embrace of modernity and its willingness to adapt to new forms of expression.

A Strategic Evolution

The logo refresh is not merely a superficial change but a strategic move in alignment with Lamborghini’s ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’ business strategy. This forward-looking approach encompasses plans to electrify the entire lineup by 2024 and introduce the brand’s first electric vehicle, based on the stunning Lanzador crossover concept, by 2028.
