Over the next few years, the Italian automaker aims to reduce its carbon footprint by a significant 40% when considering the entire lifecycle of its vehicles.
Lamborghini’s strategy goes beyond just reducing driving emissions. The company is committed to implementing eco-friendly practices throughout the manufacturing process. This includes embracing renewable energy sources and enhancing energy efficiency at its renowned Sant ‘Agata plant and across its extensive network of suppliers.
Traditionally, Lamborghini vehicles were transported to dealerships via airfreight, but the company is now shifting towards more sustainable modes of transportation, such as shipping and rail. This shift contributes to the overall reduction in carbon emissions associated with the production and distribution of its vehicles.
The heart of Lamborghini’s environmental efforts lies in its electrification strategy. With the launch of electrified models like the plug-in hybrid Urus and successor to the Huracan supercar, the company aims to significantly reduce its fleet average emissions by 2025.
By 2028, Lamborghini will introduce its first fully electric model, the Lanzador. Combining elements of a crossover, supercar, and 2+2 coupe, this innovative vehicle represents the pinnacle of Lamborghini’s commitment to electric mobility.
