Maserati’s First EV is IN!

Maserati Folgore

New Beginnings in Electric Mobility

The era of electric sports cars has dawned with the launch of the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, the luxury automaker’s first-ever electric vehicle. Priced at just over 210.000 Euros, this sleek and powerful machine marks the first step forward in Maserati’s electrification journey after all the EV delay hurdles we’ve been reporting on just couple of weeks back.

Luxury Comes at a Cost

While the price tag may raise eyebrows, it’s justified by the GranTurismo Folgore’s impressive features. Equipped with three electric motors generating 761hp and a top speed of 325 km/h, it promises exhilarating performance on the road. With a 0-60mph (0-100kmh) time of 2.7 seconds, it rivals some of the fastest electric cars in the market right now.

Performance and Power Unleashed

Derived from Formula-E technology, the GranTurismo Folgore boasts cutting-edge performance capabilities. Its 92.5kWh battery pack delivers a range of up to 455 kilometers, ensuring long-distance driving without compromise. Moreover, its fast-charging capability allows for quick replenishment, with up to 62 miles added in just five minutes.

Innovative Design and Sustainability

Beyond performance, the GranTurismo Folgore embodies Maserati’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. Featuring unique design touches such as dark copper trident logos and illuminated side vents, it exudes sophistication and modernity. Inside, sustainable materials like recycled plastic and fishing nets are used for upholstery, blending elegance with eco-consciousness.

The Future of Maserati

The GranTurismo Folgore marks the beginning of Maserati’s electrified future, with more electric models like the Grecale Folgore SUV and GranCabrio Folgore convertible on the horizon. As the automotive industry shifts towards electrification, Maserati stands at the forefront, driving innovation and redefining luxury in the electric age.
