Lamborghini files trademark for Mysterious Huracan STJ

Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has recently filed a new trademark application with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for a previously unknown variant of its V10-powered Huracán supercar called the “Huracán STJ”. The filing includes a logo that suggests this new model will be a hardcore, track-focused version sitting above the already track-oriented Huracán STO.

More Power for the Track?

The Huracán STO produces 630 horsepower from its high-revving, naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 engine, allowing it to rocket from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.0 seconds. The STJ variant could see a power boost to bring its performance more in line with Lamborghini’s GT3 race car while retaining a street-legal design. Lamborghini has used the “SJV” badge before on the track-focused Aventador SVJ model, hinting that the Huracán STJ will likely be the most hardcore, driver-focused version of the Huracán ever produced.

End of the Line for the V10 Huracán

The upcoming STJ variant looks to be the last hurrah for the current generation Huracán, which made its debut over a decade ago in 2014. Lamborghini has announced that the Huracán will go out of production in 2024. This means that the STJ model will likely have an extremely limited production run before the next generation Huracán successor breaks cover, which is expected to feature a plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8 powertrain.

Track Fans, Get Your Orders in Quickly

With such a short remaining production lifespan, aspiring Huracán STJ owners will need to act quickly to secure one of these last pure-combustion V10 Lamborghinis. The carmaker has already sold out Huracán production through 2024, but a few ultra-exclusive STJ models may still be made available for Lamborghini’s most hardcore enthusiasts and collectors.
